Umm, yeah.
Looks like Italy won.

Richard and I took a wander up the street to see what was happening - we could hear the partay from the front yard. And it was quite a party, alright.

Having seens photos of the 'hood (Corso Italia) from 1982 (when Italy last won the World Cup), I made sure that we were back in town from a visit to my parents in time to explore the festivities. It took a while, but we wandered along St. Clair, from Oakwood to Lansdowne, and the street was packed. I have about a billion pictures, and some video too. As soon as I figure out how to get video up here, or at least a link to some video, I'll share those with you all. After all, how often do you get to see Police officers standing on buildings, or shaking their booties while doing crowd control?
I heart Toronto!
And that biking I mentioned last time? I convinced Richard to do some training with me - we rode from our place to Oakville and back one weekend (approx. 90 km, round trip), and to a little place north of the city called Lake Wilcox (approx. 80 km, round trip).
Even without the soccer crowds, this was quite the exciting weekend - a chinese wedding feast, a trip to my parents, and some knitting too!
